Cohesive Collage Series from 5 Unique Papers

Learn to create a simple, cohesive collage series using some of my favorite collage paper techniques from previous YouTube demonstrations.

In this demo I use 5 types of collage papers from my Tune in Tuesday demos to create a small cohesive collage series from just 5 papers. My focus is to make sure that each collage not only stands alone beautifully, but also compliments its counterpart. As I do with most of the collages I create, I use a limited color palette and focus on placing different valued papers next to each other. This approach ensures that all of the collage elements complement each other, even when using so much variety in designs, techniques, and patterns in papers.

One of my top tips for you is to be selective with your materials – not every paper needs to make it to your final collage. I recommend you begin by sorting your papers into colors, then values (light, medium, dark), and then choose the ones that light you up when you touch them.

The end result of reducing your options is that it reduces overwhelm and overthinking, all while creating a collage series that cohesively works together.
