Balloon and Baggie Art: Innovative Ways to Create Collage Papers

Create papers for collage using unconventional tools like balloons and sandwich bags to create stunning textures and colors.

Join me for this art demo where you will use common household items to elevate our collage papers. One of my favorite things about collage and paper making is exploring the endless techniques and unconventional tools like balloons and baggies to craft stunning textures and colors. I’ll guide you through the process, ensuring your mixed media projects come to life with vibrancy.

Don’t worry, a detailed supply list is at the end so you know exactly what you’ll need to create these magical papers.

For this project, I start by applying a base layer of paint, setting the foundation for the intricate textures and then watch as I apply balloons dipped in paint to produce diverse patterns. We’ll then dive into the baggie technique, incorporating sand to achieve a unique floral-like effect that will have you obsessed with making these papers!
