Dive Into Water Resist Collage Papers

In this video, I’m playing with a water resist technique using an eyedropper, water bottle and sometimes, just dripping water with my hand. The droplets act as a barrier, creating a resist effect that is incredibly  intriguing. Trust me, the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful!

Here’s a tip: Always keep a catalyst wedge handy for scraping, which results in those crisp, clean lines and edges that make your design pop. As you’ll see when you begin experimenting, different papers respond differently to these techniques. 

A viewer of this demo brought up a wonderful question, “what happens to your leftover papers from these demos?” My go-to method? I repurpose them as base layers for new pieces or use them for further experimental collage papers. No paper wasted, and I know that my papers will be useful at some point down the road.
