There have been countless times in my life when I have felt firmly rooted in the present, while also feeling compelled to make a major change, to fly once again into the unknown. Each time I take this journey, I do so with great compassion for the fearful part of me that believes that this new path is somehow misdirected or wrong. At the same time, a larger part holds onto a knowing that everything always turns out perfectly and for the highest good of all concerned, even if the final destination is different than my original dream. When I get scared, I recount my history of successful landings and once again have the courage to fly. By jumping over and over, I learn how to fly, and then remember that I always could.

Although initially reflecting my own spiritual journey, I believe we all take this walk in one way or another, at unique times and with different scenery, and perhaps over and over, until we fully learn the lessons in our own one-of-kind life curriculum.
