Create a Cohesive Mini-series from 5 Different Types of Collage Papers

Watch Art Demo HERE

After conducting YouTube art demos with five different collage paper techniques, I create a mini-series from those five papers, which this time included papers made with rolling pins, glue resist, vegetables and fruits, bubbles (using a new technique), and water and paint-activated (videos all linked below).

The two collage created for this mini-series were intentionally created to complement my existing series created during previous Tune In Tuesday demos, which now contains a total of 11 collages, including the two created for this video.  You can watch how I created the other nine collages in this growing series HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE! Because all the papers used for ALL the collages are made with the same three primaries, they easy harmonize with one another.

Creating collages is about feeling; I trust my instincts to guide what looks and feels right. This organic process involves experimenting with paper placement, considering different textures, collage element sizes, and interactions between each element until the composition completely resonates with me. As I finalize the collage, I usually add a smaller element like triangles or circles to complete the design, as well as pull the entire 11 piece series together.
